The internet has given us many characters. Recently I wrote about the Bugman, today we will look at his right-wing "cousin" so to speak: Chudjak. He lives in that beautiful liminal space between genuine political conviction and performative online theatrics. Of course, there are different versions of him, but I will try my best to present you the essence and true meaning of the Chudjak.
Chudjak is a Wojak variant. Bald, angry, square glasses. Narrow eyes, short buzzcut, clenched jaw. He’s not an alpha male, so not a Chad. He’s not Soyjak, so not a weak leftist. Chudjak is unique because he’s intense, but accidentally funny. His eyes burn with purpose. He’s the nerd turned warrior. He’s a caricature of a young man, radicalized online.
Every Chud begins his journey with a transformation. Yesterday's ordinary gamer becomes today's defender of Western civilization after stumbling across a YouTube video titled "THE TRUTH THEY DON'T WANT YOU TO KNOW" or similar. The initial spark could also come from Jordan Peterson, Joe Rogan or simply X or 4chan posts. The metamorphosis is both immediate and complete.
His profile picture is a marble bust, Achilles, Tyler Durden or whatever. His vocabulary suddenly includes words like "degeneracy," "hypergamy," and "cultural Marxism." One day he's posting about video games, the next he's a passionate traditionalist Catholic who has strong opinions about Vatican II despite never having attended mass before his online conversion.
What makes the Chud truly special is his absolute commitment to the bit. He genuinely believes that posting frog memes at 2 AM is dismantling the global elite. In his mind, he's a soldier in an information war.
Chudjak’s brain is a mess. He’s a philosophical scavenger. Nietzsche’s will to power, half-read. Jordan Peterson’s archetypes, YouTube-summarized. Bronze Age Pervert’s rants, X-retweeted. He grabs ideas from 4chan, Substack, podcasts and mixes them together. Democracy’s fake, Elites lie and Society’s rotting. He’s sure he sees the truth. Just a disclaimer: I don't believe Chuds are necessarily wrong about the things they talk about. It's just the way they got to this point and the person behind the keyboard and his unique personality, that makes things so funny.
But back to the point: Depending on which bubble he inhabits, the specific manifestation differs. The Übermensch Chud quotes Nietzsche. The National Socialism Chud develops a fascination with Hitler. The "It's over Chud" carries Spengler's "Decline of the West" everywhere but has only read the SparkNotes version.
Then there's the Catholic LARPer Chud, the most entertaining variant, together with the Nietzschean LARPers. Despite having never attended mass consistently, he suddenly declares himself a "traditional Catholic," posts Latin phrases like Extra ecclesiam nulla salus and develops strong opinions on Vatican II. He lectures others about degeneracy while his browser history speaks volumes. His religious conversion coincidentally occurred right after discovering online forums where being a self-declared trad Catholic granted him immediate intellectual credibility.
He’s a performer. Every post is a battle. He’s not convincing, he’s posing. He’s a soldier in a “meme war.” His enemies are “Soyboys,” “enbies,” “globalists.” He dreams of impact, but he’s not prepping for collapse. He’s not joining militias. He’s playing a role. His life’s mundane: games, fast food, scrolling. But online, he’s epic. A defender of the West, a trad-Catholic knight, a philosopher-king (minus the kingdom) or a Nietzschean Übermensch, and perhaps everything mixed together.
The beauty is in his enthusiasm. He'll confidently explain complex geopolitical situations despite having never left his state. He'll debate monetary policy while still asking his parents for an increased allowance. He believes with his whole heart that he understands the world better than "normies" because he found the secret knowledge hidden in plain sight on publicly available websites.
What the Chud wants, more than anything, is to matter. He's found a way to feel significant. By casting himself as a revolutionary, he transforms his ordinary life into an epic struggle against vaguely defined enemies.
In fact, he's playing the most elaborate role-playing game ever created. His political rants aren't meant to convince, they're performance art. The Chud is a rebel without a cause, a warrior without a war. So he creates these things digitally, carving out a virtual landscape where he can be the hero of his own story.
Here's the truth about Chuds: they're just guys trying to be cool, epic, loved. And I love them for that.
